Commercial Advantages
When comparing an ecoFridge system to a mechanical
refrigeration unit, there are many commercial and
operational advantages which together provide lower
operational costs.
ecoFridge can be fitted for little over the cost of a standard,
diesel powered system. Thereafter, because ecoFridge is
virtually maintenance free, labour, parts and downtime
costs will be significantly less than those of a mechanical
system.
Furthermore, the running cost for a mechanical system
rises dramatically after 3 - 4 years, compared to ecoFridge
costs which will remain virtually unchanged.
Additionally, pull down to set temperature can be achieved
in less than half the time of a mechanical system.

Safety Matters
ecoFridge uses a completely ‘failsafe’ system to ensure
that operatives cannot compromise their safety in any way:
Nitrogen (which is non-toxic and makes up around 80% of
the earth’s atmosphere) is released as a refrigerant into
the trailer’s loading area only when the doors are closed.
Should an operative become enclosed in the load space,
an independently powered, illuminated press-button will
instantly close the system down.
As soon as the doors are opened, the oxygen analyser
and warning system automatically check the internal
atmosphere and entry will not be allowed until the
requisite oxygen level is achieved.
